These days, we’re always craving for something new and exciting to do on our little island and if you’ve already ticked off most of the fresh additions to our things-to-do scene, here’s one that you might have missed: Hi-Roller.
After a quiet opening in 2019, the attraction is now Singapore’s largest indoor skating rink – and a stylishly retro one at that! Here’s what you need to know before visiting:
You might have heard of the 80’s era where people were head-over-heels with roller skates – well, now you have it in the form of a skating rink, complete with disco lights and classic pops to complete the atmosphere.
Pop on a pair of inline skates and zoom around the space that’s separated into 2 zones – red and blue, for beginners and experts respectively – so everyone can go at a pace they’re comfortable with.
Try their 4-wheel skates!

This is one that your S/O would love, especially if you’ve already ticked off all the other more conventional date ideas. You won’t have to be the most athletically-inclined either as they also provide 4-wheel skates that’ll help with balance.
Enjoy a 2-hour skating session from $12 for adults or $10 for students. If you’re keen to spend a day practicing your tricks, a day pass is also available at $40. Skate rental is available at $5 per session, or you can BYO.
We might be in the 21st century now, but the old school days always seem like so much fun – and now you can immerse yourself in those vibes while whizzing around. Other than skating, there’s lots more to do in the area as well – check out our article on Downtown East attractions for more.
Getting there: Take the MRT Green Line to Pasir Ris (EW1). Walk 10 minutes to Hi-Roller. Alternatively, take bus 5, 6, 12, 12e, 17, 21 or 354 one stop and alight at Downtown East and walk 3 minutes.
Address: 1 Pasir Ris Close, Market Square @ Downtown East, E!Hub, Level 5, Singapore 519599
Opening hours: 11AM-9PM, Daily
Telephone: 9694 4094
