Musicity Singapore 2014 Grooves Into Tiong Bahru from 25 April to 10 May!

Musicity Singapore – A Music + Spoken Word + Place Event

Curation and location-based digital platform, Musicity Singapore 2014 will groove Tiong Bahru Estate with ‘live’ music and spoken word performances from 25 April to 10 May. There will be 10 performances from 8 phenomenal artists in 6 groovy venues!

The Sam Willows will be one of the musicians. Also check out our interview with Benjamin Kheng.

Its mission is to establish a global platform for emerging artists with the talent to make their marks on the world stage, and to celebrate the essence of cities as represented by their people and spaces. Its key technology feature is a location-based mobile application (iOS and Android) that is a streaming channel for music and poetry created for the event.

Tiong Bahru will be home of the first Musicity event in any city to feature spoken word poetry alongside local music because it’s all about the stories behind the spaces.

Musicians: Seyra, The Sam Willows, MONSTER CAT, Marcel Lee Pereira

Spoken word poets: Marc Nair, Jennifer Champion, Nabilah Husna, Gideon + Allee

Venues: Keppel Land space, Bincho, The French Bookshop, Tiong Bahru Community Centre, The Fab Lab (a private residence), TBB Tiong Bahru Bar
