You Can Now “Dine Under The Sea” In A Private Bubble Pod At S.E.A Aquarium Till 31st Oct

Aqua Gastronomy at S.E.A. Aquarium

As a kid, you may have watched The Little Mermaid and wondered what it’s like to live under in the deep blue. While we’re certainly no Ariel, we can get a magical, fairytale-like experience nonetheless at the S.E.A. Aquarium

With their latest dining experience, Aqua Gastronomy, diners are in for a surreal underwater treat, available for a limited time only.

You may be familiar with S.E.A. Aquarium’s Open Ocean Habitat viewing gallery. After closing hours, the area will be transformed into a dining concept, complete with 8 geometric “bubble pods” for private dining.

We’ve seen many restaurants with great views but this one has majestic marine creatures like hammerhead sharks and reef manta rays swimming around right next to the dinner table.

The ambience is complete with changing lightning and a matching sound playlist

If the weather permits, you might even catch divers swimming around, feeding the manta rays.

Matching the atmosphere is a 4-course Chinese-fusion dinner (from $98) put together by Chefs Marvas Huang and Tony Choo from RWS’s Forest and Ocean Restaurants.

Expect seafood galore with an entree of Canadian scallops with Thai-style glass noodle salad and trout caviar, served in a cloud of wispy smoke. Intricately-plated Norwegian Wild-caught lobster and Kuhlbarra seabass come after.

The meal ends on a sweet note with a spherically-shaped chocolate ball, filled with bergamot curd, seawater caramel and seaweed crumble.

To wash it all down, their signature cocktails and mocktails are also available at an extra cost. For those with dietary requirements, non-seafood and vegetarian menus are available upon request. View the menus here.
