The Singapore Flyer was the world’s largest giant observation wheel from 2008 to 2014 before the USA claimed the title. Building this 165 metre-tall observation wheel wasn’t an easy feat, requiring 2.5 years and a whopping $240 million to complete. Though the title isn’t with us anymore, it’s still the world’s 2nd largest as well as Asia’s largest giant observation wheel!
Since its opening, it has been hailed as a must-go for both tourists and locals. At the Flyer’s maximum height, you’ll get to see almost everything within a 45KM radius. From far-flung local monuments to neighbouring islands from Malaysia and Indonesia, that’s a whole lot to take in during a whole 30-minute revolution around the Flyer.
