The studio specialises in wet plate photography – a style that was all the hype way back in the 1850s. In a nutshell, it’s a chemical process that turns a metal plate into a “film” to produce a blackened image. The results are rustic 19th-century-styled portraits, like the pics you might find in your grandparents’ drawers.
Each 45-minute photo session gives you one plate to take home that will last hundreds of years.
