New hotels in Singapore
For most of us, birthday parties, anniversary celebrations and hen’s nights always call for a staycation. So does the clearing of last year’s ALs. While we already have many dreamy, luxurious and affordable hotels to choose from, those looking for a refreshing getaway won’t be disappointed with the many new hotels in Singapore you can look forward to in 2022.
We’ve rounded up the recently-opened and upcoming hotels you can anticipate below:

1. Raffles Sentosa Resort & Spa – 62 villas with private pools

2022 is a thrilling year for all staycation junkies, with Raffles Sentosa Resort & Spa among the upcoming launches. Exuding serious Bali vibes, the resort will be a good substitute for much-missed vacations if VTLs still don’t take off in 2022.

This will be the first villa-only resort in Singapore with 62 villas spread over 100,000 sqm, or 17 football fields. Only one to four-bedroom villas will be available, each with its own private pool, terrace and daybed for the ultimate escape from reality. Guests can also expect to visit Raffles Butlers and Raffles Spa for extra pampering.
Should flights to Bali resume, keep an eye out for Raffles Bali also opening soon on Jimbaran Bay, with panoramic ocean views.

2. The Singapore Edition – Luxury hotel in Orchard

Other than being the go-to destination for food, shopping and group hangouts, Bugis will soon be also home to The Singapore Edition, a boutique luxury chain with hotels all over the world, from London to Dubai.

While they have not revealed much about their latest venture in Singapore just yet, Edition Hotels has shared that the eight-storey hotel will have 190 rooms, with futuristic elements inspired by art and technology. Perhaps we can expect something similar to the ArtScience Museum? We’ll have to wait to find out.
3. Artyzen Cuscaden Singapore – Oriental-themed HK hotel on Orchard Road

Artyzen Cuscaden is a Hong Kong-based hotel, soon opening its first property along Orchard Road for all of us in need of a little rejuvenation. 20 storeys high, the hotel will have 134 standard rooms and eight suites for those looking for a more extravagant stay.

You won’t have to leave the hotel thanks to plenty of amenities within reach. This includes a bar, garden-themed spa, gym, outdoor pool, and a romantic rooftop restaurant alongside two other eateries.
4. Pan Pacific Orchard – Sustainable hotel with three sky gardens

With not just one but three sky gardens is the 350-room Pan Pacific Orchard, located in the heart of town. You won’t just be getting city views, as many of the hotel’s uniquely “stacked” rooms will be facing picturesque sky terraces, each with a different theme.

Not just a pretty facade, Pan Pacific Orchard will also be a zero-waste hotel, with a food composting compactor, rainwater harvesting system and recyclable water system. And if you think this looks a lot like PARKROYAL on Pickering, you’d be right on the money as the hotel is built in collaboration with the same architecture firm, WOHA.
5. Citadines Connect City Centre – Near Dhoby Ghaut MRT
Singapore isn’t huge, but you gotta admit that anything located near the MRT gets bonus points. The 172-room Citadines Connect City Centre Singapore is situated just a short walking distance from Dhoby Ghaut MRT, making it an accessible and central destination for your next staycation with the gang.

The hotel has a rooftop restaurant, outdoor swimming pool and gym, but if you like your itinerary packed to the brim, there’s also Plaza Singapura just a stone’s throw away with plenty more entertainment.
Previously slated to open in December 2021, the hotel seems to have encountered some delays our guess is that they’ll be opening in 2022 instead.

6. Citadines Connect Rochester – Tech-savvy hotel in Buona Vista

The future is now, and guests can look forward to service robots, mobile keys, self check-ins and smart TVs at Citadines Connect Rochester Singapore. Those living or working at the West side can soon rejoice with this upcoming 135-room sleek business hotel, with a 24/7 gym and swimming pool to unwind at.
Meeting pods will also be available if you’re there for a workation.

7. voco Orchard Singapore – Rooftop pool, previously Hilton Singapore

Orchard Road seems to be getting a whole makeover with multiple hotel revamps. voco Orchard Singapore, previously Hilton Singapore, has just reopened with 423 upgraded rooms. Visitors can expect a refreshed lobby and new environmentally-friendly beds made out of recycled plastic bottles and sustainably-harvested cotton.
Visit their pop-up event happening from now till 26th January 2022, where there’ll also be 52 nights of staycations up for giveaways.

8. Pullman Singapore Orchard – Near Paragon, Takashimaya & Wisma Atria
Previously called Grand Park Orchard, Pullman Singapore Orchard is currently undergoing a facelift and will reopen in mid-2022 with 308 upgraded rooms, a fitness club and an outdoor pool. There’ll also be dining and shopping options galore as this is located right along Orchard Road – meaning Paragon, Takashimaya and Wisma Atria will be just a few minutes’ walk away.
While not much has been released about the interior just yet, their other hotels overseas may clue you in on what’s in store:

If you can’t wait for the upcoming launches, below are some new additions that you can already start visiting in the coming weekends:
9. The Container Hub – Pop-up “tiny home living” in Haw Par Villa
Artbox thrilled us with the idea of a hipster market made out of giant shipping containers, and if you’re keen on finding out what it’s like to live in one, The Container Hub has got you covered.

Their 37 sqm rooms are not tiny per se, but they incorporate clever tiny home living concepts to maximise space. With space-saving hacks such as a pull-down Murphy bed, the hotel manages to fit a dining room, kitchen, en suite bathroom, living area and two queen-sized beds into each container.
Here’s the real kicker: it’s located within Haw Par Villa – yes, the museum with the spooky Ten Courts of Hell. Talk about one hell of a staycation.
Only two rooms are available per night so be sure to book early. For now, the pop-up hotel only has rooms available till 2nd April 2022.

10. The Clan Hotel – Rooftop infinity pool and sky gym

Instagrammers won’t have to worry about getting that MBS pool-level IG shot. The infinity pool in The Clan Hotel has similar vibes. Sitting at level 30, it overlooks Chinatown and has plenty of chairs for you to lounge on and enjoy the sunset. For more great views, the hotel also has a terrace on level four and a sky gym on level 30.

Located near Telok Ayer and Chinatown MRT, the hotel is in a central location which makes it easily accessible to tons of shopping, dining and entertainment options.

11. PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay – Indoor garden

This place may look like it’s right out of Gardens by the Bay, but it’s actually a hotel lobby. What used to be the Marina Mandarin Singapore has since become the PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay and it definitely had the glow-up of the decade. Aside from lush trees decorating the lobby, the hotel also has bird nest pods for guests to relax in and enjoy the ambience.

The hotel has equally zen rooms that are well equipped with plush king-sized beds and luxe feature walls.
Located near iconic attractions like Marina Bay Sands, the Singapore Flyer, and the Merlion, the hotel is in a great location for you to experience being a tourist in your own city. Thanks to that, most of the rooms – and dining rooms – will also give you great views of the surrounding CBD.

For those who have been to Boat Quay, you’ll know that walking along the river gives you overseas vibes. 13. Dusit Thani Laguna Singapore – Bali-vibes in Singapore
The Relaxation Pool offers lounge chairs in ankle-deep water so you can feel zen while getting a nice tan
Equipped with three swimming pools, two golf courses, and an array of dining options, Dusit Thani Laguna Singapore truly boasts Bali-vibes. With a Lap pool, a Relaxation pool, and a Kid’s pool – this hotel has options suitable for anyone to unwind under the sun.

14. SG Hotel On Wheels – Tiny home living in 6M-long containers

If you’re looking for a niche location to nua your days away, SG Hotel On Wheels offers different themed rooms from a street punk studio to a safari paradise.
Pop Art living room
Each 40FT room is equipped with an office desk and a sofa, perfect for you to experience tiny home living in repurposed shipping containers. They can accommodate four guests and come with fully equipped kitchenettes. Couples on the other hand, can book the cosier 20FT rooms.
Regardless of which you pick, each room has Google Home and a smart TV so you’ll have everything you need to keep yourself entertained during your stay.
